Registered Nurse Manager - Multi-Specialty ASC

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse (RN) Manager to lead clinical operations in our multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center. This role is responsible for overseeing daily nursing functions, ensuring high-quality patient care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting a collaborative, patient-focused environment. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent clinical judgment, organizational skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily clinical operations of the ambulatory surgery center
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to ensure optimal performance and patient care
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards
- Coordinate staffing schedules and manage workflow to meet patient volume and acuity
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and administrative teams to ensure efficient case flow
- Monitor quality assurance, infection control, and risk management initiatives
- Participate in policy development and process improvement efforts
- Support staff education, onboarding, and ongoing training
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership experience in an ambulatory surgery center or perioperative setting
- Strong knowledge of surgical workflows, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications required

Pavilion Surgery Center is seeking an accomplished Administrator / CEO to lead a high-performing, multispecialty ambulatory surgery center recognized for clinical excellence, strong physician partnerships, and continued growth.
This role offers a unique opportunity for a strategic, hands-on ASC leader to collaborate closely with engaged physicians and the Governing Board to advance quality outcomes, operational performance, and sustainable expansion.
About Pavilion Surgery Center
Pavilion Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art, multispecialty ambulatory surgery center and joint venture with St. Joseph Hospital and physician partners. The center features 17 operating rooms, procedure rooms, and endoscopy/pain management suites, serving both adult and pediatric populations. Specialties include Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Urology, ENT, GYN, Plastics, General Surgery, Vascular, Cardiovascular, Pain Management, and Endoscopy.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Governing Board and regional director of operations, the Administrator / CEO provides executive leadership and strategic direction for all aspects of surgery center operations. This role is accountable for clinical quality, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, physician engagement, staff leadership, and organizational culture, while ensuring an exceptional patient experience and efficient use of resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership and daily operational oversight of the surgery center
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Governing Board, Medical Staff, physicians, and management partners
- Lead financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and productivity management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, and internal policies
- Drive quality assurance, risk management, and continuous performance improvement initiatives
- Foster strong physician partnerships and support case volume growth and service line development
- Lead, mentor, and develop exempt and non-exempt staff, promoting a culture of accountability and collaboration
- Oversee all departments, including nursing, sterile processing, materials management, and business office functions
- Identify and implement operational efficiencies and strategic growth initiatives
- Represent the center with payors, vendors, regulatory agencies, and community partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of senior-level ambulatory surgery center leadership experience
- Strong working knowledge of ASC operations, financial management, and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to build trust-based physician relationships and lead through influence
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- CASC certification preferred
